The evening was fantastic. I got to have dinner with one of my best friends, and a couple other good friends. We had an italian meal at a local restaurant, it was awesome. After dinner, my best friend and I decided to see The Dark Knight Rises. Now let me tell you, from hearing the opinions of others about how the movie was, I started to doubt if it would be a “great” movie. Deep down, I knew it was going to be great, seeing the last two movies in the series, this had great potential of a lot of action, and a great story line. But I still found myself worried. This all changed with the first scene in the movie.
The man above said these few words “Or perhaps he’s wondering why someone would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane.”, well more than just a few words. The voice that came from under the hood, as calm as it was, hit with such great force it gave an immediate feeling of belief. Looking over at my friend, I expressed that I was excited just a few minutes into the movie(I promise I didn’t talk too much during the movie). Within these first few minutes there was a great amount of action that stemmed from the voice under the mask.
Throughout the movie Bane showed a grand amount of how intelligent he really is. I’ll be honest and saw I don’t know much about the comic books, but from what I remember from Batman & Robin, Bane to me was an oversized, dull, and boring waste of time. He was quite the opposite in The Dark Knight Rises. There was so much depth and passion with his character. Mainly passion put into the character by Tom Hardy. The research that he did on the character in the comic books and what he wanted Bane to sound like. It was difficult at first to really understand how he was talking, but you pick it up quick and just bask in the presence of a great character.
For the first time doing a small review/opinion(?), I enjoyed it. But not as much as I enjoyed Cat Woman 🙂
I like cheese, bacon, Paleo, yes I know cheese isn’t Paleo. I like cars, games, movies and music. I have a podcast called Hide Over There Podcast, it’s pretty cool. Oh yea, I like bacon.
