It gives me great pleasure to say I have acquired the new “toy”. She was born in 1992, has beautiful green eyes, and can scream like no other…wait…that kind of sounds wrong…oh well! “She” is a 1992 Camaro in near perfect condition. I got lucky and found her on Craigslist. This happens to be one of my dream cars. Now for a little background story about these cars.

About 9 years ago I had purchased a 1991 Camaro on eBay. It was sort of an accident buying it, but I have never had any regret with buying it. A couple friends and I drove a couple hours to pick the car up. It needed a lot of work so we towed it back 2 hours. This car was one of my first and favorite project cars to work on. It needed engine work, body work, new wheels, etc…but my friends and I had a great time with working on it. Three days after the car was working perfect, shined beautifully, and made us all happy, a woman in a Ford Explorer turned into me while I was traveling at 45mph. Thankfully I was able to walk away.

After this had happened, I was devastated for quite sometime. I spent a couple months looking a the scrap of metal you see above. I cut the entire front end off and parted out the motor…and beat the crap out of the car with a crowbar and baseball bat…in a strange way, it helped me cope. Eventually I had the car rest of the car towed away and made a few dollars off of it. July of the next year I found another Camaro. It was beautiful, didn’t need much work at all, and if I acquired the car, I could enjoy it right away. I bought the car a couple days later.

She was beautiful and blue. I kept her for a little while, put some work into some power and audio upgrades. I was then stuck in 2006. I had to pass emissions. In order to do this, it would have taken a lot of money. I couldn’t logically  find a reason to put a lot of money into this car. Yes I loved it, babied it, and enjoyed it dearly. I just couldn’t cough up the money to fix her 🙁 I sold her pretty quick and got a brand new car. That’s a whole other story to get into one day.

We now come to the newest edition of my family. The beautiful green, deep and thunderous 1992 Camaro RS. She is truly the most beautiful car I’ve owned(the new car was nice, but not to this level). When I came across the ad online for this car, my jaw dropped. Just reading what was listed for the car seemed great, way better than the last one. The price also seemed fair. I had to see it. I drove an hour and 15 minutes to meet the owner. He started the car up and I knew this was the car I wanted. The car also has barely ever seen snow. The body is so close to flawless for her age.

I did what I had to do to sell the 600. I used the cash to buy this beauty. I’m very excited, and every time I start the car, I feel like I’m a kid again and fill up with happiness. Anyone that would like to go for a ride, hit me up!
